When family came to stay for a few months, these homeowners wanted everyone to have room to breathe. The answer was right downstairs: a basement remodeled into a full guest suite, with its own living room, bedroom, and dining area.
One continuous luxury vinyl floor runs through the whole space. It ties the rooms together and keeps the long layout open and easy to move through. The soft gray-brown wood look warms up a below-grade room, and luxury vinyl holds up to the moisture and temperature changes basements are known for.
The family visit has come and gone, but the suite is here to stay, ready for the next guest or for the homeowners themselves.
